South Ealing tube station is a five minute walk from the house. This is on the Piccadilly Line and takes you directly in to the centre of London, passing Hammersmith, Kensington and Knightsbridge on the way. Ealing Broadway Station is a 20 minute walk away, or a nine minute bus journey, where you can catch the Central Line or the District Line. There is also an overland train station in Ealing Broadway, giving you very fast access to the heart and city of London.
There is an extensive network of bus routes in the area that take you all around London. Many of them are night buses.
Shopping and Entertainment:
South Ealing High Street is a delight and has everything for your daily needs such as a supermarkets, chemists, butchers, bakers, banks, cafés, restaurants & pubs. For all other shopping you need go no further than Ealing Broadway where you will find major department stores, branches of all the big chains as well as a host of small speciality shops; you’ll never need to shop anywhere else. The choice of restaurants, bars and pubs is overwhelming, there is an option to suit every budget and taste, covering all local and international styles of cuisine.
For nights out, apart from all the bars and restaurants, there are several theatres, comedy clubs, live music venues, cinemas and clubs. Ealing Common is a wide open space that hosts many interesting events, such as fairs, circuses and firework displays.

South Ealing is surrounded by parks. Gunnersbury Park is the closest, just 1 minute's walk away, where you will find running tracks, mini golf, boating & tennis. Over the winter 36 football pitches are put in the park.
Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub is a brand new (as of 2020) sports venue offering a variety of facilities and activities for all ages and abilities. Located on the North side of Gunnersbury Park, the new venue includes a large 100+ station gym with dedicated focus zones, two group exercise studios with automated virtual classes, a large sized sports hall offering a variety of sports including competition standard facilities for handball, futsal and volleyball as well as many others. The outdoor pitches will be available for hire, offering 8 tennis courts and 2 full size all weather pitches as well as 10 grass pitches for football, rugby and cricket.
In addition there are golf courses, swimming pools and a choice of gyms. For something slightly different Oxygen Freejumping Trampoline Park is nearby with 150 interconnected trampolines, a mega airbag, ninja warrior course, volleyball and dodgeball courts. There is also a local rugby club (Ealing Trailfinders) that is always looking for new members and players.
