Shepherd's Bush is located in Zone 2 and has 24 hour links to all of London, making it a perfect location for both work and play. There are three main Tube Stations to choose from, the closest being just a minute's walk from the house. Shepherd’s Bush Market and Goldhawk Road are on the Hammersmith and City Line and the Circle Line and Shepherd’s Bush is on the Central Line. Hammersmith Station is about a ten minute walk away, where you can take the District Line or the Piccadilly Line. There is also an overland train station on Shepherd’s Bush Green, which is around a three minute walk from the house. There is an extensive network of bus routes from Shepherd’s Bush that take you all around London. Many of them are night buses.
Shepherd’s Bush is the perfect location for shops, restaurants, bars, café’s and pubs. The Westfield Shopping Centre is the largest city centre Shopping Centre in Europe at 2.6million square feet, located just behind the Central Line and contains hundreds of shops and restaurants, including a food court, as well as a multi-screen cinema and a gym. There are branches of Tesco, Sainsburys, Waitrose and Marks & Spencer supermarkets all within an easy walk. Shepherd’s Bush Market is one of the oldest established street markets in London and has fresh fruit and vegetable stalls, fresh meat and fish, clothes and nick nacks.
Shepherd’s Bush also has a local theatre called The Bush Theatre that puts on different small productions each month for a bargain price, some of their shows later move to the West End, London's theatre district . There is also a 12 screen Vue Cinema, many pubs and bars and the O2-Empire music venue for live music. Many of the local bars also offer live music.
By the Green there is a great gym called Fitness First and a large "Gym Box" gym (including a boxing ring) inside the shopping centre. There is a large pool hall inside West 12, offering traditional snooker or American pool. There are tennis courts on the nearby Brooke Green. Just a five minute walk away there is QPR (Queens Park Rangers), your local Championship Football Team. About a 10 minute walk past Shepherd’s Bush Roundabout is one of London’s most beautiful parks, Holland Park, with many lovely areas waiting to be discovered, and the huge Hyde Park slightly further up the road.
